When faced with an outdated and costly lighting system, Stork sought an efficient alternative to reduce energy usage and lower energy bills. After discussing the requirements internally the Stork team turned to Kore for a contemporary, energy-efficient solution. The project involved both the partial and complete replacement of lighting fixtures at Stork's Ashley House and Norfolk House offices in Dyce.
Electrical Manager Davie Grieve was enlisted to oversee this substantial undertaking.
Following a site visit, the clear solution was to replace the existing fluorescent lights with eco-friendly LED lighting, projecting an impressive 50-75% reduction in energy consumption. The warranty on the LED fittings ensures Stork enjoys a maintenance-free period of around three years. Through strategic planning and direct collaboration with our client, the Kore team seamlessly replaced approximately 600 light fittings during working hours, with minimal disruption throughout the project.
From initial client engagement, the Kore team efficiently delivered and completed the LED lighting installation in both office blocks within a remarkable timeframe. The swift turnaround and minimal disruption to staff during the project attracted excellent feedback from our client.
Based on this success, Kore continued to conduct further LED replacements for Stork in their extensive workshops. The overarching objective was to eliminate all remaining fluorescent lighting systems and transition entirely to LED lighting across all premises.
More of Kore's clients are embracing the shift towards energy-efficient LED lighting in anticipation of an impending legislation change, halting the manufacture of fluorescent lighting by early 2024.
