Aberdeen-based Kore Solutions says it has seen a marked increase in enquiries from property owners, facilities managers and industrial operators seeking structured assessments of existing life-safety systems - rather than automatic full replacement.
Daniel Craig, Fire & Security Manager at Kore Solutions, believes the industry’s traditional “rip and replace” mindset does not always reflect today’s technical reality.
“There’s an assumption that if a system isn’t new, it isn’t compliant,” he said. “In many cases, that simply isn’t accurate. Some buildings require full replacement. Others benefit from phased upgrades that improve safety and reporting while minimising disruption.”
Commercial offices, industrial estates and energy-sector facilities across the region are facing increased scrutiny around fire detection, access control and system integration.
